Cirrus powered by EPCC

Cirrus is a state-of-the-art advanced computing facility available to industry and academia

About Cirrus

Cirrus is one of the EPSRC Tier-2 National HPC Facilities and is available for users in both academia and industry.

Housed at EPCC's Advanced Computing Facility, Cirrus is a flexible, state-of-the-art High Performance Computing system that provides an ideal platform for users to solve their computational, simulation, modelling, and data science challenges.

During Q4 2025 the current Cirrus hardware will be replaced with a new HPE Cray EX4000 system. We are aiming to continue to run the current hardware until the new system is available but this is on an at-risk basis as the support for the current hardware ended on 31 Mar 2025; ff there are any major system issues we may need to end the service during this period.. More details on the new system can be found on the hardware page.
